T O P I C R E V I E Wkaiannahow do you think this would go in synastry? doesnt sound too positive to meAmi AnneI would not relish it lol------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/Voix_de_la_MerBumping this, as I too would be interested in the analysis.Ami AnneI am very direct and some people do not see it this way. In the natal, I think the person will abuse and it will be seen by society but a person can always overcome the chart with a true relationship with God.However, most likely, until/if this happens, the person will abuse and others will see it.A public example would be OJ, not that I know if he has it.That is just an example.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/AngaCrowleyNessus is seriously overrated, IMO (hows that for direct!). I have it exactly conjunct my Asc and have never been abused, nor have I abused anyone. I know a red flag when I see it, maybe, and thats saved me from any and all abusive experiences. It can mean as much as nothing, if you're psychologically healthy and find a healthy partner who just so happens to have that conjunction with you.It CAN serve as a warning, Im sure, if other aspects strongly contribute to said warning (check where Dejanira is). But you arent going to turn a sane, rational, kind person into an abuser, and you arent going to abuse them if you arent carrying around an abusive nature, just because your nessus conjuncts something in their chart.Voix_de_la_MerPerhaps like many traits, Nessus could bring a predisposition, rather than a prediction.AngaCrowley quote:Originally posted by Voix_de_la_Mer:Perhaps like many traits, Nessus could bring a predisposition, rather than a prediction. This, I agree with. If someone is predisposed, Nessus could trigger abusive tendencies toward you if there is some prominent aspects. But I dont think its a given like I often see it treated.I am not predisposed to abuse, and so I do not abuse people who have aspects with my ASC/Nessus conjunction. If they read our chart, they might assume they ought to 'run' based on one asteroid. Seems silly/reductionist how these 'bad' asteroids are sometimes treated. Interestingly, I also have Angel conjunct my Asc/Nessus (which is also my name!). Ive interpreted this to mean that others see me as a sort of natural confidant when it comes to abuse they have encountered, and this is very much in line with my life -- I volunteered for years at a domestic abuse shelter before I knew about this conjunction, and Ive had many confide in me, as well. I also interpret it to mean that it affects me very deeply, on a spiritual level, when I see others are hurt, and I have to be careful not to take on too much of their burden and hurt myself, vicariously. I hardly find this a reason for anyone to run or for me to run, though; I know how to handle it.It's always important to look at other factors, is my point!Voix_de_la_Mer quote:Originally posted by AngaCrowley: This, I agree with. This has been transformed in my future, so you are correct, that we must consider the many ways one aspect can play out. The aspect may bring an energy, it's how we use and direct it that counts.Voix_de_la_MerAnother thing to consider are the lessons from aspects. If we use an energy negatively, we can learn from the environmental response. All negative energy can be transformed, even that which you had no control over receiving. I think the nessus person would abuse the MC person and it would be seen by others.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? I've got it exactly conjunct my MC in synastry, and he's very driven to help me improve my career. He doesn't have an abusive fibre in his being, either. Voix_de_la_MerAn interesting observation on Nessus by Auby ^^RandallMoving to Interpersonal Astrology.Voix_de_la_MerRandall,I see your thinking, but could this not stay in Asteroid Astrology?I feel we are still trying to get to the bottom of Nessus energy, would it not make sense to have all those discussions and theories in the one place?I'm not sure how useful it even is to look at Nessus in synastry without a full understanding of its natal energy.
